FintechNGR, EFInA to Host Webinar on Bridging Women’s Access to Credit Gap in Nigeria

The FinTech Association of Nigeria (FintechNGR), in partnership with EFInA (Enhancing Financial Innovation & Access), is set to host a powerful webinar titled “Closing Women’s Access to Credit Gap through Policy, Innovation, and Collaboration.”

The event, part of the EFInA Webinar Series, will take place virtually on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Participants can register to attend via this link.

As Nigeria intensifies its financial inclusion efforts, the gender gap in access to credit remains a major hurdle. This webinar will convene leading voices across government, fintech, policy, and development sectors to explore actionable strategies for closing this gap. By aligning innovation with inclusive policy frameworks, the event aims to drive real impact for women across Nigeria.

Featured speakers include:
  • Dr. Nurudeen Zauro, Technical Adviser to the President on Economic and Financial Inclusion (PreCEFI)
  • Nnebuogo Egboh, Executive Director, ECOWAS Small Business Coalition (ESBC)
  • Emezino Afiegbe, Lead, Gender Center of Excellence, EFInA
  • Michael Ogba, MD/CEO, Sytiamo Technology Limited
  • Chisom Orakwusi, Head, Legal and Compliance, Carbon
EFInA, established in 2007, is a financial sector development organisation that promotes financial inclusion in Nigeria by supporting innovation, policy reform, and impactful research. The collaboration with FintechNGR, a self-regulatory, non-profit and non-partisan organisation focused on accelerating the growth of Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem, underscores a shared commitment to inclusive finance.

Since its inception, FintechNGR has consistently engaged with regulators such as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and National Insurance Commission, alongside government stakeholders, to create an enabling environment for innovation and investment.

The webinar will spotlight opportunities to transform credit access for women, highlighting that solving gender disparities in finance is not only a moral imperative but also a catalyst for broader economic growth.
