Recently she was signed-on by Scanfrost as a brand ambassador in what has been rumoured to be a multi-million naira endorsement deal. Being happily married with four children and still flourishing in her acting career and business, Omotola was a natural choice for the home appliance manufacturing company.
“Scanfrost is proud to be associated with legendary actress, singer, philanthropist Omotola Jalade Ekeinde as she becomes the new ambassador for the leading home appliance brand,” the company said while unveiling the actress.
According to the brand promoters, Omotola represents and creates an image that resonates with the target customers of the brand and will play vital roles in achieving the marketing projections of the company. The brand is equally confident that the 37 year old actress will bring equity to the brand and improve its market share.
Scanfrost has been in Nigeria for over 35 years and is known for its durability, value for money and great after sales services. Historically, the brand is known for chest freezers and display coolers. In 2007, Scanfrost extended its product portfolio to a range of household appliances including cooking range, microwave ovens, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and kitchen appliances, while strengthening existing portfolio.
Omotola who is expected to be the spokesperson for the brand and will appear in both TV and print commercials has already began her duties as brand ambassador, as she has been deploying her social media platforms to project the brand.
Omotola made her Nollywood debut in 1995 and has gone on to appear in 300 films, selling millions of video copies.The press has revered the Screen Nation ‘Best Actress’ as The “African Magic“. She is the first African celebrity to receive over 1 million likes on her facebook page.
