TBWA Concept Unveils Write Mothers

TBWA Concept, a leading creative advertising agency in Nigeria, has unveiled five creative mothers who emerged the overall best in its latest ‘disruptive’ initiative, Write Mothers.

The event was opened by TBWA\CONCEPT’s M.D and AAAN President, Kelechi Nwosu who introduced the first speaker, Mrs Bola Thomas, former AAAN President and one of the founders of LTC Advertising. In her capacity as one of the pioneer women in advertising in Nigeria, she talked about the historical challenges for women in Advertising, stressing that “women should be empowered and not be limited by their gender”

There was a talk on Women and Creativity by the 2014 winner of  NTA’s Queen Nigeria beauty pageant, Diamond Okoh, who challenged women not to stick to the status quo and pursue their dreams. The finalists were then presented with their certificates of participation and inducted into the TBWA\CONCEPT family.

As a start of their learning and development , a creative writing workshop facilitated by Mrs Ijeoma Oqwuegbu-Uduma, a script writer for MNET Nigeria (Tinsel and Hotel Majestic) introduced our new WriteMothers to the essentials of creative writing.

Ranti Atunwa, Creative Director, TBWA\CONCEPT, rounded up the event by sharing some of the creative standards expected of them and also outlining the overall aims and benefits of the WriteMothers initiative to women, mothers and the industry as a whole.

To end the event on a lighter note, there were a lot of pictures and signed autographs from the President (AAAN)
