Moonshot 2026 to Bring OpenAI Africa, Flutterwave and SEC Together to Shape Africa’s Next Technology Era

Moonshot by TechCabal has announced the first set of speakers for its 2026 pan-African technology conference, bringing together leading founders, investors, policymakers and innovators to discuss the future of Africa’s technology ecosystem.

The fourth edition of Moonshot will take place at the National Theatre in Lagos on October 28 and 29, 2026, under the theme “Courage & Conviction: Building for a New World.”

As African technology moves from a phase of resilience and survival into a period of greater ambition, the conference aims to explore what it will take for businesses and institutions on the continent to compete globally, create lasting value and drive innovation.

Confirmed speakers for Moonshot 2026 include Idorenyin Obong, CEO and co-founder of Grey; Emmanuel Lubanzadio, Africa Lead at OpenAI; Olugbenga “GB” Agboola, Founder and CEO of Flutterwave; Dr Emomotimi Agama,

Director-General of Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission; Ashley Lewis, Managing Partner and Head of DPI Venture Capital; Rukky Ladoja, Founder and Creative Director of Dye Lab; Sim Shagaya, Group CEO of The uLesson Group; Karl Toriola, CEO of MTN Nigeria; and Tatiana Ndlovu, Executive Head Marketing at Nedbank Africa.

Moonshot 

The speakers, drawn from technology, finance, regulation, investment and creative industries, will lead discussions focused on how African innovators can move beyond participating in the global technology economy to becoming leaders in building solutions with global relevance.

The conference will feature nine content tracks covering Emerging Tech, Future of Commerce, Big Tech & Enterprise, Government & Policy, FUEL: The Investor Conference, Creative Economy, Clean Tech & Climate, Startup Festival and Entering Tech.

Discussions will focus on key areas shaping Africa’s future, including artificial intelligence, climate innovation, infrastructure, commerce and the development of Africa-first technologies. The programme will examine how founders, investors and policymakers can make bold decisions, build sustainable institutions and create companies designed for long-term impact.

Moonshot 2026 will bring together technology leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, operators and creatives to explore partnerships and strategies that can help Africa take greater ownership of critical infrastructure and strengthen its position as a global technology hub.

Since launching in 2023, Moonshot by TechCabal has grown into one of Africa’s leading technology gatherings, attracting more than 7,500 founders, investors, policymakers, operators and creatives from over 20 countries.
