FIFA appoints Stats Perform as first official global data and streaming partner

FIFA has appointed sports AI and data company Stats Perform as its first official worldwide data and streaming rights distributor, marking a significant shift in how official match information and live content from FIFA competitions are collected, managed and distributed globally.

The multi-year agreement gives Stats Perform exclusive rights to collect and distribute official data and live streams for a wide range of FIFA competitions, including all 104 matches at the expanded FIFA World Cup 2026. The partnership also covers the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027, FIFA Futsal World Cup 2028, FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2029, FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup tournaments in 2026 and 2028, the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2027 and 2029, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup from 2026 to 2029. In addition, thousands of matches each season across FIFA Member Association competitions powered by FIFA+ are included.

Under the agreement, Stats Perform’s RunningBall team will collect and distribute official, real-time FIFA match data, while its Opta division will provide verified player statistics, insights, live scores and match trackers. The partnership is designed to strengthen FIFA’s oversight of how official match information is used, improving transparency, consistency and monitoring in line with international best practice.

FIFA said the collaboration would enhance the delivery of official products to audiences worldwide, while ensuring greater control over the integrity and distribution of its competition data.

Stats Perform will also act as an official distributor of live FIFA match streams in selected territories, including coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 through its AI-enhanced live streaming services.

In addition, Stats Perform’s Integrity team will provide support to FIFA Integrity in relation to Member Association content on FIFA+ that falls under the scope of the partnership.
