FBNQuest Merchant Bank Limited has formally completed a change of name and will now operate as Quest Merchant Bank Limited, after securing all required corporate and regulatory approvals.
The rebrand does not affect the bank’s legal status, going-concern position, management structure or the scope of its operations. Quest Merchant Bank Limited remains a fully licensed merchant bank regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and will continue to provide its full range of merchant banking, advisory and capital markets services.
Commenting on the development, the Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Afolabi Olorode, said the change marks an important strategic moment for the institution.
“This name change represents a pivotal milestone in the rich history of the Bank and a deliberate strategic repositioning that reflects our resilience, strong track record, and long-term growth ambitions. While our name has evolved, our commitment to our clients, stakeholders, and regulators remains unwavering,” he stated.
As part of the transition, the bank is updating its branding, corporate communications and digital platforms to reflect the new identity. It noted that some legacy references to the former name may remain visible across selected touchpoints during the transition period as updates are progressively completed.
The bank also confirmed that all existing contracts, client relationships and obligations remain valid, binding and fully enforceable following the change of name.
