The fourth edition of BlueInvest Africa is set to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, in November 2026, with the call for pitchers now officially open until 13 February 2026.
Since its launch in 2022, BlueInvest Africa has supported over 80 innovative startups, selected from more than 700 applications, connecting them with more than 40 investors committed to advancing the blue economy across Africa.
The programme targets startups and SMEs registered and actively operating in African Union member states working in sectors of the blue economy, including:

Coastal and marine tourism

Circular economy and pollution reduction

Participants in BlueInvest Africa 2026 will have the opportunity to pitch their business to top-tier private and public investors, receive tailored pitch coaching, engage in high-level networking, and showcase their solutions in Cape Town, one of Africa’s leading hubs for innovation and ocean impact.
In 2025, six standout entrepreneurs were recognised for excellence in aquaculture, blue biotech, circular economy, and ocean regeneration. The Grand Prize was awarded to STEP Tunisia for advancing fish farming technologies in North Africa.
The call for applications for BlueInvest Africa 2026 is now open, offering a unique platform for African ocean innovators to secure investment, scale their solutions, and contribute to sustainable ocean economies.
