Merck Group's Rimmi Harindran Joins Kellogg as Senior Director, Corporate Affairs AMEA

After 12 years with Merck Group, Rimmi Harindran has joined Kellogg as senior director of corporate relations for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa (AMEA).

Harindran was most recently worldwide head of communications for Merck's cardiology, metabolism, and endocrinology segment, as well as Asia-Pacific regional communications head, overseeing 12 countries. Her career with the firm also includes senior communications roles in Germany and India, and she was the co-founder and project lead of Merck's Women in Leadership (WIL) Asia Council, which led the organization's diversity and inclusion agenda.

She replaces Shweta Shukla, who returned to Unilever last year. Shumit Kapoor, President of Kellogg AMEA, reports to Harindran.

Harindran's responsibilities at Kellogg include communications, ESG, government, and stakeholder relations for AMEA. She is also a member of the regional leadership team and the global corporate affairs leadership team, both of which are led by Kris Bahner.

Harindran has previously worked with Monsanto (now Bayer), The Heroes Project (Richard Gere's Gates initiative-funded HIV/AIDS awareness initiative), and PR firms such as Genesis Burson-Marsteller. She is also the co-chair of the Asia Pacific Association of Communications Directors (APACD) Singapore Chapter.
