It is immutable, open, transparent and imbued with opportunities. With the success of the just concluded SBI Media Workshop 3.0, the blockchain ecosystem is no longer oblivious to many enthusiastic and talented youths. This was the summary of the feedback given by participants last Saturday at the SMW 3.0 held at the Radisson Hotel, Lagos.

Buffeted by a group of elite blockchain experts, content creators and legal luminaries, the 2022 edition of the workshop interactively explored the value-chain intersection between media and blockchain by examining the career, business and creative opportunities for today's young talents.

Speaking at the event, frontline technology and blockchain content creator, Fisayo Fosudo, shared practical steps on how to create a content creation and production strategy for the ecosystem and how to excel with it. To him, commitment and clear-cut vision as well as the specific acquisition of knowledge about blockchain will turbocharge a content maker to relevance.

As a result of the immutable and critical nature of blockchain technology, Ugochukwu Obi, a legal expert from Perchstone & Graeys, one of Africa's largest law firms exposed participants to the legal, regulatory and ethical frameworks in blockchain and strategies talents and entrepreneurs can devise to be compliant in the sector.

Experts from Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world introduced participants to the career paths in the blockchain industry. From content maker, community manager to marketing and even software development,

Olubunmi Fabanwo exposed participants to the vista of endless career opportunities they can explore. As icing on the cake, the event was wrapped up with a special fireside chat that examined the success story of Binance's exploits in the African blockchain ecosystem and the varied opportunities talented Nigerian and African youths can leverage to catapult their career and business to the next level.

Also speaking during one of the fireside sessions, Emmanuel Ebanehita, Marketing Director, Binance Africa, noted that “The crypto space of today is one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
