The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has just sacked the entire members of the board of FBN Holdings Plc and First Bank Nigeria Limited.

The sack was announced on live television, covered by Channels TV, Arise TV and other tier 1 news channels across Nigeria.

In the same broadcast, the Apex Bank reinstated Sola Adeduntan as the managing director and chief executive officer of First Bank of Nigeria Limited.
