Gokada Founder, Fahim Saleh murdered in New York apartment

The founder of the motorcycle-sharing platform, Gokada, Fahim Saleh, is dead.


He body was found Tuesday afternoon decapitated in his Manhattan apartment in the U.S., the New York Daily News reported.

According to footage of closed-circuit television obtained by Manhattan Police, Saleh was shown in his residence at 265, East Houston Street, Manhattan, entering an elevator with the fellow who was wearing a black suit and a black mask.

On the video, the elevator door opens and the 33-year-old Saleh goes into the apartment while the masked person follows directly behind him, and the two immediately start to struggle, the paper quoted the police as saying.

Mr Saleh, 33, is believed to have bought the condo for $2.25 million last year.

Gokada is an on-demand transportation company or motorbike hailing service headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. They are the first motorbike hailing app in Nigeria. Customers can order a motorbike ride through the company's website, or by using the company's geo-location-based mobile app.
