Konami seals exclusive Juventus partnership

Italian Serie A football club Juventus has signed an exclusive three-year partnership with Japanese video game developer Konami. As a result, Konami’s eFootball PES 2020 title will be the only football console game to officially include Juventus.

The partnership between KONAMI and Juventus FC provides the eFootball PES series creators with exclusive use of Juventus FC within console football video games, including the team name, crest and official kits. In addition, the development team has been granted in-depth access to the players themselves to recreate their likenesses in the new game as accurately as possible.

According to Konami, "Piemonte Calcio will be a new playable team in FIFA 20 with a custom badge and kit throughout Kick-Off, Career Mode, and EA SPORTS VOLTA Football.”

“Our comprehensive partnership with Juventus FC, one of the greatest teams in the world, is a clear statement of intent for eFootball PES 2020 – the only console game where you can play as the Italian giants. With eFootball PES, playing is believing and we’re proud to have Juventus FC believe in us and our exciting future together" Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. said.

The home of Juventus FC, Allianz Stadium, will also be fully realised and exclusive in eFootball PES 2020. KONAMI’s development team are experts in stadium recreation and football fans around the world will surely notice the level of detail that has been included in their latest creation.

eFootball PES 2020 ushers in a new decade of industry-leading football simulation with a bold promise to revolutionise eFootball and introduce the sport to a global audience. The game features a brand-new mode called Matchday that will allow players to pick a side and come together for weekly events to compete in the biggest matches in football and help secure victory for your team.

Konami has recently signed partnerships with Bayern Munich and Manchester United, and extended existing agreements with Arsenal and Barcelona.
