Dotun Adebayo, Ronke Apampa & Jason Takes Over As New Management Team For Ben TV

BEN Television, Europe's first black-interest television channel, has moved into a brand new ultra-modern purpose-built studio complex in a prestigious location in the heart of London, the UK capital.



Announcing the move, BEN Chairman, Alistair Soyode unveiled his new management team that will steer the company through this new phase in its development.

"This is an exciting time for BEN," said the Chairman. "This year marks our 15th anniversary as the primary television channel of black-interest in the UK and Europe. With our new studios we can now make the programmes that Britain's black population have been crying out for - talk shows, news, soap operas and other shows that reflect them.

"Our new management team, the best in their various fields, are here to propel BEN TV to that next level where it will be competing, viewer for viewer, with mainstream channels by producing and broadcasting the freshest and best programmes anywhere. Oludotun "Dotun" Adebayo is a British radio presenter, writer, and publisher. He known for his work on Up All Night on BBC Radio  5 Live, as well as the obituary programme Brief Lives. Adebayo was born in Lagos, but moved with his family to England at the age of six. As a publisher Dotun was the man behind The X Press books and, in particular, the runaway bestseller Yardie in1992. The book has now been turned into a major motion picture by the film star Idris Elba. He was awarded an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 2009.

Deborah Olaronke Apampa is an ex-model and TV Presenter/Producer. Ronke was the host of the number one entertainment programme “Black Variety show” in Europe for four years with over two million viewers on the platform. In 2007  produced “Stars On The Runway”, which was the biggest fashion show in Nigeria. More than 120 A-list stars modelled African attires to raise money for a children’s charity.

Jason Freeman is the  marketing genius that founded the Youth Energy drink, which is one of the fastest-selling vegan drinks in the market. He has also been a leading player in marketing and business development within the media  in the United States, Europe and the UK for 25 years and has been behind the successful development of several multi-million pound brands in the health and well being industry.
