The monarch gave this commendation while receiving a high level delegation from Airtel Nigeria who paid a courtesy call on him recently, to felicitate with him on his coronation. He described the Telco as a brand that truly cares for Nigerians. He noted that the outfit has brought smiles to the faces of his subjects through employment and other empowerment initiative.
In his words: “I am very glad that a key player in the nation’s economy, Airtel Nigeria has come to celebrate with me on this august occasion. This local government is a catchment area for business and Airtel Nigeria has further brought development to us through its various empowerment initiatives. I wish to thank Airtel Nigeria for taking care of my people in Ikorodu as hundreds of our people have been gainfully employed by this organization.”
He assured the delegation led by the Regional Operations Director (Lagos), Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Oladokun Oye that the Ikorodu community is always ready to partner with Airtel and will continue to support the company in every needful way.
As part of its support towards the celebration of the coronation of the new Ayangburen, Airtel Nigeria also offered free health check to residents to help monitor their cholesterol level, blood pressure and sugar level.
