#BrandArena: Celebrating 4 Years of Blogging

"Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it." —Maya Angelou

Today Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 marks 4 years of blogging. While this doesn’t seem like much of a feat, it is. Do you all know how much time blogging takes up? I only wish I had more time to update you about happenings in the world of branding & marketing, ICT, fashion, sports and more!

With that said, I will like to reaffirm that starting this blog has been one of the best decision I have ever made for myself. It has not just given me the opportunity to connect with the world but also have an atom of impact in the media and IMC world.

I know many of you have been following my blog since its inception, but some of you are new. It seems appropriate to share a brief history of my blog as part of our blogiversary celebration.

My first published writeup was on May 23rd, 2011: "Mission" followed by one of my best articles so far: "Why Do Companies Rebrand?".

Within this 4 years, I have published 4038 (stories, feature articles, press releases, sponsored contents) and generated 5,209 comments on posts. Still far away from generating expected financial earnings, but not so bad.

Offline, I have received quite a number of calls from brand journalists, e-commerce firms, Start-Ups; lot of invitation to awards, brand events, ICT & Social Media seminars/conferences, online forums and of course lot of inspiring e-mails and letters from my esteem readers across the world.

So, for my Nigerian audience, I say TUALE! For those in the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, Russia, France, Spain, India, Ghana, Kenya (and other trackable countries), I appreciate you all. I thank you for the love and interest in what I do on this blog.

The BrandArena team is profoundly honoured, exceedingly humble and tremendously excited this day. We can proudly say that as we grow, #BrandArena is growing.

Thanks to God for my life and all He has done for me. My gratitude also goes to Mrs. Uzochukuama Olukoya; Mrs. Damilola Sobajo; Adeshola Ogbodo, Dare Oyetunji and Bukola Adeboye.

#BrandArena might be leaving soon. The reason for this is to improve with the offerings and capability of the blog. Please feel free to email me on: if you have any contribution, advice, suggestion or observation that could help to improve this blog.

We have some free gift and call voucher (MTN, Airtel, GLO and Etisalat) that we will be giving out for 3 days - from tomorrow till Monday, 25th May. Just text your name with #BrandArena to 08174470117.

The #BrandArena AFRICA team celebrate you ALL. Cheers!
