Leading multinational brand, Unilever, has repackaged and rebranded its long distance running toothpaste, Close Up. The repackaged brand now comes across in three different flavoured variants namely; Deep Action Red Hot, Naija Herbal Gel, and Herbal Paste.
According to the company’s statement, “The Close Up brand is well poised to carter to the oral care of Nigerians with a formulation that contains micro-shine crystals to clean up the deep corners of the mouth and active zinc mouth wash that kills up 99.9 per cent of germs to give a longer lasting fresh breath for 12 hours non-stop.”
Also, at the unveiling of the repackaged product, the fast moving consumer goods maker disclosed that they had signed the award winning artiste, David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido, as the brand ambassador of their flagship brand, Close Up toothpaste.
Identifying the 40 year old brand with the multi-talented young Davido is geared towards engaging the brand’s core target who is the Nigerian youths.

Wow, never knew Close-up had so many new flavors now, the Naija Herbal Gel sounds interesting. Wonder if the micro-shine crystals really make that big difference. Gonna check it out next time I’m at the store. Also saw some random stuff online about kolkata ff which kinda caught my eye.
