Lagos NIPR plans 25th AGM

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Lagos State Chapter has unveiled plans to mark its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM/Public Lecture.

The event will hold at the Media Centre, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos on September 4, 2014 at 10 am.

The speaker is Alhaji Attahiru Jega, chairman, and Independent National Electoral Commission.

Okonmah said: “The theme of the lecture aims to provide a platform for discussing and drawing insights of vital election issues and management, proffering solutions on critical areas threatening the unity and co-existence of Nigeria, arising from fallouts, usually after national elections. It is also aimed at bridging the communication gap between government, corporate organisation, professionals and other stakeholders, thereby rendering positive mindset towards a more favourable perception of Nigeria. Nigerians yearn for a wholesome transformation of the country that would guarantee sustainable and efficient infrastructural development, good governance, peace and security. The lecture will also provide answers to the role public relations professionals can play to achieve them.”


According to him, the public lecture, which will be chaired by Chief Fassy Yussuf, will feature the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba; and Commandant, Nigerian Army College of Logistics, Lagos, Major Gen. Abubakar Gana, who would deliver sub-theme papers.
