Dangote doles out N30billion to charity in two years

Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has donated about N30bn to charity across the continent in the last two years, the Dangote Group said.

The group stated that the Dangote Foundation planned to up this humanitarian gesture to different African countries, including Nigeria.

Dangote Foundation last month announced a scholarship for some Yewa Community, in Ogun State including 50 students of various secondary and tertiary institutions.

Recently, the group also donated $500,000 to victims of explosion in Republic of Congo.

Two years ago, the company made a donation of N2.5bn to cushion the effect of flooding in Nigeria, making if the single highest donation by a private body in the country.
