Strategic Outsourcing Limited popularly known as SOL has disputed a statement made by naijahottestgist.com a Nigerian blog claiming that the wife of the Group Managing Director of Diamond Bank owns SOL and recruits 25% of the workforce in the Bank.
In a statement released by the MD /CEO of SOL, Olufemi Ogunlowo, he said that “SOL is a privately owned company and it is solely owned by me. Diamond Bank is one of my customers and I recruit for a lot of companies in Nigeria. The Bank and SOL have been doing business before the current GMD took over the helm of affairs’. He continued by saying the statement by the Nigeria blog was baseless and misleading. ‘The statement is malicious and SOL is not listed on the Nigerian Stock Market and we have not done any recapitalization since our inception in 2006 he said’.
Mr Ogunlowo also added that neither the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Dr. Alex Otti nor any member of his family has a relationship with Strategic Outsourcing Limited (SOL), the outsourcing company that recruits outsourced staff for banks and other companies as claimed by naijahottestgist.com and subsequently being syndicated by their blogs.
When contacted, Head Corporate Communications of Diamond Bank Ayona Trimnell refuted any ownership ties between Dr Otti and Strategic Outsourcing Limited (SOL). The company has been doing business with Diamond Bank since 2006 long before Dr. Otti joined the bank as GMD in 2010. By the information available at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) SOL is owned by Mr. Olufemi Ogunlowo and the company currently consults for many companies and financial institutions, including Diamond Bank Plc.
‘From the content of the story posted by the blogger, it is obvious that the fabricated and poorly concocted story was just a deliberate hatchet job by either the blogger or their agents to embarrass and undermine the integrity of the Bank”. Said Mr Ogunlowo
