Windows 95 Celebrates 20th Birthday

Twenty years ago Microsoft unleashed the Windows 95 operating system on the world.

On Monday, 24 August, iconic operating system Windows 95 celebrates its 20th birthday. It launch completely changed the way personal computers were used.

Windows 95 was the defining operating system for Microsoft and introduced the key features that we have become so fond of from the Windows series.

Windows 95 spearheaded the charge from mainly 16-bit architecture to pre-emptively multitasked 32-bit architecture in the PC sector.
