Real Madrid and Emirates agree record-breaking €100m sponsorship extension running to 2031

Real Madrid and Emirates have renewed their long-standing partnership in a deal reportedly worth €100 million, securing the airline’s position as the club’s main sponsor until 2031 and extending one of football’s most established commercial relationships.

Emirates has partnered with Real Madrid since 2011 and has served as principal shirt sponsor since 2013. The renewed agreement ensures the airline remains the official main sponsor and official airline of both the men’s and women’s teams, with its branding continuing to feature on match kits, training wear and coaching staff apparel. The extension also marks the longest-running shirt sponsorship deal in LaLiga history.

The partnership will now also expand further into basketball, with a new multi-year agreement making Emirates the official main sponsor of Real Madrid’s basketball team until 2031.

As part of the deal, Emirates will maintain prominent brand visibility at the Santiago Bernabéu, alongside access to the club’s training facilities and the Emirates Lounge, an exclusive hospitality space within the stadium. The agreement also extends to Real Madrid’s youth teams, strengthening the airline’s footprint across all levels of the club.

Boutros Boutros, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Brand at Emirates Airline, stated: “Emirates has a long history of supporting football, connecting with millions of people, and bringing communities together through our shared passion for the sport. What we’ve built alongside Real Madrid is a shining example of that commitment: placing fans at the heart of the game, giving them access to unforgettable moments, and inspiring the next generation of supporters and players.”

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez said: “This agreement is a partnership that reflects the very special relationship we have built over the years. We have been and continue to be together during one of the most successful periods in our history.”

Emirates has previously promoted its partnership with Real Madrid through specially branded Airbus A380 aircraft featuring first-team players, as well as Boeing 777 charter flights used for travel from Madrid to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup. Both organisations have also collaborated on fan engagement initiatives including player meet-and-greets, matchday activations and competitions.
