Grammy Awards to air on ABC, Disney+ and Hulu in major 2027 broadcast shake-up

The 2027 Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, 7 February 2027, with the ceremony set to air simultaneously on ABC, Disney+ and Hulu for the first time.

The announcement was confirmed during the Disney Upfront presentation in New York City, marking a significant new broadcasting era for the music industry’s biggest awards show.

The upcoming edition will also mark the first time the Grammy Awards will air on ABC since 1972, signalling a major shift for the Recording Academy and the annual event’s global television strategy.

The eligibility period for the 2027 Grammy Awards will run from 31 August 2025 to 28 August 2026, while nominations are scheduled to be announced on Monday, 16 November 2026, ahead of the live telecast.

“The Grammys are all about celebrating the music that moves the world, and this moment is built on exactly that,” said Harvey Mason jr., CEO of the Grammys. “This is an exciting time for us as an organization—a new home and a bold new chapter for the Grammy Awards. We’re just getting started and the best is yet to come.”

The Recording Academy also released the timeline for the 2027 Grammy Awards season.

Media company registration will take place between 25 June and 14 August 2026, while the online entry period is scheduled for 7 July to 21 August 2026.

First-round voting will run from 12 October to 22 October 2026, followed by the announcement of nominees on 16 November 2026.

Final-round voting is expected to take place between 10 December 2026 and 7 January 2027 before winners are revealed during the live ceremony in Los Angeles on 7 February 2027.
