adidas Originals launches new Superstar campaign led by Samuel L. Jackson and global cultural icons

adidas Originals has unveiled the latest chapter of its iconic Superstar story, fronted by legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson alongside a new generation of global cultural figures.

Originally created for basketball and embraced by pioneers of streetwear, the adidas Originals Superstar has evolved into a symbol of self-expression, style and authenticity across generations. The new campaign follows Samuel L. Jackson as he sets out on a search for his “Superstars”, encountering influential names shaping modern culture along the way.

Narrated by the actor, the campaign features a cross-generational cast including global music star JENNIE, style figure Kendall Jenner, football talent Lamine Yamal, artist Baby Keem, NBA player James Harden, skateboarder Tyshawn Jones and singer Olivia Dean.

The film follows Jackson through a fictional “Hotel Superstar”, a surreal world where time does not exist and cultural icons from different generations intersect. As he moves through corridors and rooms, each space reveals a different creative world, highlighting the individuality and lasting influence of those wearing the Superstar.

The campaign is directed by Thibaut Grevet, who brings a cinematic and dreamlike approach to the storytelling.

“The campaign celebrates the next era of the Superstar through both timeless design and cultural relevance,” said Annie Barrett, Vice President of Marketing, adidas Originals. “Superstars never go away, they are timeless and iconic. This season, we continue to show the relevance of this sneaker across music, fashion, sport, and art. The new campaign pushes the bounds of reality with unexpected twists.”

For Spring 2026, adidas Originals reimagines the Superstar aesthetic with subtle updates in tone and texture across its apparel collection, blending classic athletic influences with modern tailoring. The familiar black-and-white palette is refreshed with bold red accents.

The men’s collection features looser-fit tracksuits in red, black and white with the signature three-stripe detailing, alongside denim shorts, T-shirts and jacquard jerseys in neutral shades. The women’s range reinterprets the track jacket with new materials and silhouettes, including faux leather and crochet designs that merge sport and street style.

The Superstar Spring 2026 campaign will roll out globally this season, supported by a wider programme of content, brand activations and in-person experiences designed to connect audiences with the enduring legacy of the Superstar.
