Emmanuel Adediran Appointed First West and Central Africa-Based Jury Member for Purpose Awards 2026

Emmanuel Adediran, Business Director at mediaReach OMD and a prominent voice in Nigeria’s marketing communications and social impact landscape, has been appointed as a jury member for the 2026 Purpose Awards, becoming the first professional based in West and Central Africa to join the panel.

The appointment marks a significant milestone for the awards and underscores the growing influence of African perspectives in global purpose-led communications. It is the first time a Nigerian-based practitioner will sit among the judges of the internationally recognised programme.

The Purpose Awards EMEA, organised by Haymarket Media Group in association with Campaign, PRWeek, and Third Sector, celebrate organisations and campaigns that deliver social change through creative excellence and authentic purpose. The awards span 33 categories covering areas such as charity, environment, equality, and public awareness, with six categories dedicated specifically to charities and NGOs.

“I am deeply honored to join the Purpose Awards 2026 jury,” said Emmanuel Adediran. “This appointment is not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the innovation and impact emerging from Nigeria and across Africa. I look forward to contributing to the recognition of campaigns that are making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

The jury for the 2026 edition brings together industry leaders from across the EMEA region, selected for their expertise, leadership, and commitment to advancing social impact through communications. The shortlist for the Purpose Awards 2026 will be announced in April, with winners revealed at the awards ceremony in June.

Commenting on the importance of the awards, Siobhan Holt, Deputy Editor at PRWeek, said: “The Purpose Awards are the best way for Businesses to show they are a leader in this pivotal genre. The ongoing economic challenges, alongside political and societal issues, have made purpose campaigns more vital now than ever.”

Organisers have also highlighted the strength of the judging panel, noting that more industry experts have been unveiled to assess entries for the 2026 awards, further reinforcing the credibility and global reach of the programme.
