Umbro has unveiled the second chapter of its Northern Quarter collection for Autumn/Winter 2025, spotlighting Manchester’s vibrant music scene and the spirit of creativity that defines the city’s cultural heart.
This season’s campaign pays tribute to the Northern Quarter’s enduring influence, capturing the energy of a community where music, fashion, and innovation intersect.
“Music has always been a pillar of Mancunian culture,” said Helene Hope, Head of Global Brand Marketing at Umbro. “For that reason, it was a natural focal point for the AW25 iteration of the Northern Quarter collection. With Manchester at its heart, the collection celebrates Umbro’s roots, whilst always looking forward, designing clothes for the creatives of today.”
Drawing inspiration from Umbro’s rich football heritage and extensive archive, the AW25 Northern Quarter collection reimagines classic silhouettes and graphics through a modern lens. The result is a refined blend of casual, sports-inspired streetwear that bridges tradition and contemporary style.
A standout piece, the Reversible Crew Top, captures the essence of the collection with a dual design, one side inspired by sleek training apparel, and the other featuring a bold ‘club night’ graphic that nods to Manchester’s legendary nightlife. Key outerwear pieces include the Waxed Cagoule, merging football culture with streetwear aesthetics, and the Fleece Coach Jacket, a chunky sherpa fleece showcasing Umbro’s signature oversized double diamond motif. Together, they continue the creative renewal established by the SS25 collection, refreshing Umbro’s most iconic designs for a new generation.
The campaign was shot at Soup, a renowned Northern Quarter music venue, featuring Ellie, James, and Time Flies — local artists and regulars at the venue who embody the district’s creative pulse.
For over a century, Umbro has shaped global sportswear culture, blending performance and style both on and off the pitch. Collaborations with fashion heavyweights such as Palace, Supreme, and Aries have reinforced its status as a pioneer in the sports-fashion space. With the Northern Quarter collection, Umbro returns to its roots — paying homage to Manchester’s architecture, music, and spirit while setting a bold, forward-looking tone for the brand’s evolving design identity.
