Nearly a year after her peaceful passing, family, friends, and well-wishers will gather in Lagos to honour the memory of Mrs. Modupe Temitope Dada, beloved wife of Mr. Mike Dada, President and Executive Producer of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The one-year memorial service will take place on Sunday, 19 October 2025, at Grace Assembly Church, Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. The event is expected to be a moving celebration of Modupe Dada’s life, a day of reflection, worship, and gratitude for a woman remembered by many as “kindness personified.”
The service will bring together family members, friends, colleagues, and members of the AFRIMA community to celebrate the life and legacy of a woman whose warmth, grace, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
In a heartfelt message shared with friends and associates, Mr. Dada, who also serves as Managing Director of PRM Africa Marketing and Communications, expressed his gratitude for the love and support shown to his family since her passing.
“It’s been a year since my beloved wife, Modupe, went to be with the Lord. You are warmly invited as we worship, remember, and give thanks for her inspiring life,” he wrote.
The memory of that sombre Saturday, 19 October 2024, remains vivid for many, the day news broke that Mrs. Dada had passed away at a private hospital in Lagos after a brief illness. She was aged 48.
Until her transition, Mrs. Dada was a dedicated banking professional who served with excellence and distinction in various financial institutions across Nigeria. Her diligence, professionalism, and commitment to service earned her numerous promotions and widespread respect among her peers.
Sunday’s memorial service, to be officiated by Reverend Femi Paul, will not only honour her life but also celebrate her enduring legacy of faith, compassion, and love, virtues that continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
