Nigeria has officially won the bid to host the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) 2027, with Lagos named as the host city during the opening ceremony of IATF 2025 in Algiers, Algeria.
The announcement was made by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman of the IATF 2025 Advisory Council, highlighting Nigeria’s growing influence and strategic role in advancing Africa’s economic integration.
This landmark achievement aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, reflecting his administration’s firm commitment to positioning Nigeria as a leading hub for trade, investment, and sustainable economic growth across the continent.
On behalf of the Federal Government, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, received the hosting flag, formally confirming Nigeria’s acceptance of this prestigious continental honour.
With Africa’s premier trade fair now scheduled for Lagos, Nigeria is set to become the focal point for continental commerce, innovation, and collaboration, reinforcing its position as a key driver of Africa’s shared prosperity and regional economic transformation.
