Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, marking another leap forward for foldable smartphones. Both devices were revealed at Galaxy Unpacked 2025, showcasing sleeker designs, improved durability, and deeper AI integration.
The Fold7 now folds slimmer than ever at 8.9mm and weighs just 215g, while delivering an 8-inch inner screen, a wider outer display, and a 200MP main camera, a first for Samsung foldables. It runs on a new Snapdragon chip with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, and offers advanced AI tools for translation, image editing, and multitasking. A redesigned hinge and tougher materials make it more resilient for daily use.
The Flip7 keeps things compact with a 4.1-inch full-width FlexWindow that supports apps and notifications without unfolding. Inside is a 6.9-inch AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, and Samsung’s most powerful Flip battery yet at 4,300mAh. AI features boost convenience with smart replies, call screening, and on-the-go scheduling.
The Fold7 boasts an expansive 8-inch internal display with peak brightness up to 2,600 nits, making it easy to use even under harsh sunlight. The 6.5-inch external screen has also been refined with a wider aspect ratio for easier typing and better one-handed use. Both displays support 120Hz refresh rates for fluid performance.
Underneath it all is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon chip, fine-tuned for Samsung, delivering major gains in CPU, GPU, and AI processing. With up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, the Fold7 is built for demanding workflows.
A new hinge design cuts down on screen creasing and boosts structural integrity, while reinforced aluminum and tougher glass make the device more durable than previous generations.
Photography sees a major upgrade: the Fold7 features a 200MP main sensor—the first of its kind on a Samsung foldable. Paired with ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, the setup is enhanced by on-device AI that powers features like object erasing, low-light enhancement, and live language translation.
Running Android 16 with One UI 8, the Fold7 introduces smarter multitasking with features like drag-and-drop between apps, AI-generated summaries, and intelligent app pairings for side-by-side tasks.
Starting at $1,999 for the Fold7 and $1,099 for the Flip7, both models go on sale globally from July 25. Pre-orders include trade-in deals and storage upgrades, with a Flip7 FE model also launching at a lower price.
