Emirates, Uber Sign Strategic MoU to Enhance Travel Experience for Customers

Emirates and Uber have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at delivering smoother, more rewarding journeys for travellers. The partnership seeks to improve on-ground mobility for Emirates customers and extend loyalty benefits to Emirates Skywards members using Uber in select markets across the airline’s global network.

The MoU was signed by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Anabel Diaz Calderon, Vice President and Head of EMEA Mobility at Uber.

As part of the collaboration, Emirates and Uber will work together to launch a variety of initiatives that simplify travel planning and elevate customer experience. Planned features include an integrated booking system allowing customers to bundle Uber ride vouchers with flight bookings, streamlining airport transfers and city commutes.

The companies will also explore offering complimentary Uber rides to and from airports for select Emirates customers—delivering a true door-to-destination experience.

In the UAE, Emirates Skywards members could soon earn Miles on Uber rides or redeem their miles for Uber ride credits. The program may also expand to other countries within Emirates’ network, giving members more ways to earn and use Miles while on the move.

Another area of potential collaboration includes exploring last-mile delivery solutions for Emirates Courier Express. By leveraging Uber’s global delivery infrastructure and technology, the initiative aims to boost delivery speed, coverage, and operational efficiency.

Adnan Kazim said: “Emirates is excited to join forces with Uber as part of our commitment to delivering seamless travel experiences. In the months ahead, we’ll closely work together to leverage our combined capabilities in travel and technology to expand planning options, create more connected end-to-end journeys across our network, and introduce exciting new benefits for our Skywards members. We look forward to a successful partnership and the valuable opportunities it will create for our customers.”

Commenting on the partnership, Anabel Diaz Calderon, Vice President, Head of EMEA Mobility at Uber said: "We're thrilled to partner with Emirates, a global leader in aviation, to shape the future of travel. With tailored Uber airport rides offering seamless door-to-destination journeys and loyalty benefits for Uber and Emirates customers, this collaboration will redefine the travel experience for millions of passengers.”

To drive awareness and engagement around the partnership, Emirates and Uber also plan to explore joint marketing campaigns across the airline’s global markets.
