Bolt, Africa’s leading ride-hailing platform, recently hosted the Bolt Family Fest in Lagos, a large-scale event aimed at celebrating driver loyalty, recognising top performers, and deepening community engagement across its network. With Lagos as its biggest market in Nigeria, the city was a fitting backdrop for this dynamic celebration of growth and partnership.
The event spotlighted some of Bolt’s most committed drivers, many of whom have remained active on the platform for 7 to 8 years since the days it operated as Taxify. These long-serving drivers received special recognition, each being awarded ₦200,000 in cash for their unwavering commitment and continued excellence in service.
Beyond recognising loyalty, the Bolt Family Fest also supported brand expansion through an on-site vehicle branding initiative. The setup allowed drivers to brand their vehicles easily and efficiently, while incentives such as branded merchandise, gift bags, and raffle draws encouraged participation.
A major highlight was a lucky dip giveaway where two drivers—one newly branded and one previously branded—each won a brand-new SmartTV, adding excitement to the festivities.
Osi Oguah, General Manager, Bolt Nigeria said: “Our drivers are the heart of everything we do at Bolt, and this event is our way of saying thank you for their dedication and professionalism. We’re not just building a platform, we’re building a family. The Bolt Family Fest is about creating moments of connection and showing our drivers they are seen, appreciated, and celebrated.”
The event delivered measurable benefits for Bolt, including an increase in branded vehicles across Lagos, enhanced street-level visibility, and a strengthened sense of unity and pride within the driver community.
