Integrated energy company, Eterna Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Abiola Lukman Lawal as its new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer following the resignation of Mr. Benjamin Nwaezeigwe.
According to a statement released by the company on the Nigerian Exchange, the board has appointed Mr. Abiola Lukman Lawal as Nwaezeigwe's successor, effective April 15, 2024. However, Lawal's appointment is subject to ratification by shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting.
Nwaezeigwe's tenure spanned two years before his departure.
The statement further highlighted Lawal's impressive background, noting his most recent position as Deputy MD/CFO at Eroton Exploration and Production Company Limited. Lawal brings with him a track record of successful executive leadership across various C-suite roles both locally and internationally.
