Google Appoints Olumide Balogun as Director of West Africa

Olumide Balogun, former Google Director of Consumer Apps for Sub-Saharan Africa, has been appointed Google Director, West Africa. Remember that the job became available after Juliet Ehimuan retired after 12 years in the role in July 2023.

Olumide Balogun joined Google in 2019 after working at HMD Global as the Head of Marketing, West Africa. He was previously the Head of Marketing for Microsoft in West Africa and worked for Nokia for almost five years.

Like Juliet Ehimuan, Olumide Balogun will be in charge of the IT company's operations in West Africa.

Olumide studied Computer Science at Obafemi Awolowo University before completing an MBA (Master of Business Administration) at Imperial College London and a Diploma in Sustainable Business Strategies at Harvard Business School.
