Microsoft appoints new country manager for Kenya's operations

Microsoft has appointed Kendi Ntwiga Nderitu as the manager for its operations in Kenya.

Kendi had previously served as the General Manager of the East, West and Central Africa Cluster for Check Point Software before joining Microsoft.

She will spearhead strategies and allocation of resources in the country.

Microsoft Regional GM for Middle East and Africa, Ibrahim Youssry said, “We are extremely excited to have Kendi join our dynamic team. Her extensive experience will go a long way in contributing to our overall mission of helping the continent on its digital transformation journey, while also driving greater diversity and inclusion across STEM fields.”

Ms Ntwiga held strategic and sales positions in major tech firms such as Oracle and Intel. She spent 5 years at the former.

She founded She-Goes-Tech in 2015 to encourage girls to pursue careers in STEM fields.

On joining Microsoft, Ntwiga said, “I am happy to join Microsoft at a time when digitization is seen as a key driver of progress and transformation in Africa. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more and I have the privilege to be the custodian of that mission in Kenya.”
