Edelman Promotes Matt Harrington To Global President

Edelman has promoted its COO, Matt Harrington to the position of global president. He becomes only the third president in the history of the firm.

Harrington will continue to report to CEO Richard Edelman, who gave up the president title he had held since 1985, when it passed from the firm's founder Dan Edelman.

With the new role, Harrington now adds oversight for Edelman’s $200m digital practice, along with its corporate advisory offering, to his existing remit leading the firm’s four operating regions, talent and its client portfolio management committee. Richard Edelman, meanwhile, will continue to oversee major clients, practices, research and its UEG subsidiary.
