Coscharis Group partners Renault on new assembly plant

Leading Nigerian automotive industry firm, Coscharis Group, has disclosed it has entered into a collaborative partnership arrangement with renowned French automotive giant, Renualt Group towards the establishment of a new world class manufacturing assembly plant in Lagos, Nigeria.

The new plant known as Semi – Knocked Down (SKD) assembly manufacturing plant is situated at Awoyaya, the Coscharis Group’s corporate head office base in Lagos.   

Formal launch event of the new plant is slated to take place 10:am prompt, on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the company’s head office complex, KM 32, Lekki – Epe Expressway, Awoyaya, Lagos.

The epic event is already seen as the threshold of another milestone in Nigeria’s automotive industry.  The event will expectedly culminate in the final seal of the strategic partnership between the two frontline automobile companies.

Groupe Renault is a French multinational automobile manufacturer established in 1899. The company produces a range of cars and vans, and in the past has manufactured trucks, tractors, tanks, buses/coaches and autorail vehicles.

According to the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles, in 2016 Renault was the ninth biggest automaker in the world by production volume. By 2017, the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance had become the world’s biggest seller of light vehicles, bumping Volkswagen AG off the top spot.

Coscharis Group has more than 26 branches in Nigeria and is equally present in other African countries like Ghana, Gabon and Cote D’Ivoire and its operations spans in major sectors of the economy like Automobile, Medical, Foods & Beverages, Information Technology, Engineering and Agriculture.
