The thought leadership lecture, part of the Chapter’s contribution to the never-ending discourse on leadership and nation-building, will hold at the Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Centre on Wednesday May 31, 2017 by 10am.

Lolu Akinwunmi, a world class advertising and marketing egg-head, is the Group Managing Director and former President and Chairman of Council, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria. He commands depth and professionalism in the advertising industry endearing his company to national and multinational clients.

The President, Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) and Managing Director, MediaCraft Associates, John Ehiguese, will chair the lecture. It will feature eminent panel of discussants such as Development Communications Expert and Proprietor, Professional Exams Clinic, Dr. Peter Ogudoro, and President and Chairman of Council, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Tony Agenmomen.

Speaking on the rationale for the lecture, the Chairman, Lagos NIPR, Olusegun McMedal, stated that, “This lecture is an attempt to focus attention on the major elements for a progressive and pioneering approach towards development as Nigeria is making every effort to achieve excellence and upgrade its status.”

He added that, “Visionary leadership is definitely the hallmark of progress in any civilized and developed society and we find that Africa has been deficient in this for many decades. As public relations professionals, we feel the need to spotlight this issue and employ our expertise in proffering advice to help political leadership to not only improve on this very crucial skill, but also to fire their grit to improve the status of the people, efficient management of resources and executive team fully capable of transforming vision into reality”.

The leadership lecture, an initiative of Lagos NIPR, is part of activities marking the Lagos Public Relations Week; a week-long, high-caliber event that serves the public relations community, communications professionals, and stakeholders in interesting and impactful ways.
