Introducing Surface Studio, Microsoft's new all-in-one PC

Microsoft has just introduced the Surface Studio, the company’s first all-in-one Windows 10 PC with "creative professionals" in mind.

The new Surface Studio is a 28-inch display, at 192ppi, containing 13.5 million individual pixels, with Microsoft’s TrueColor display technology.

Physically, the Surface studio can tilt to vertical down to about 25 degrees above flat, for use as a drawing surface.

Other features of the Surface Studio include a quad-core Skylake 6th generation Intel processor, Nvidia 980M GPU, 2 TB hybrid hard drive, Mini DisplayPort, 32GB RAM, implementation of the Xbox wireless protocol for game controllers, and 2.1 surround sound speakers. The base of the Surface Studio contains a SD card reader, 4 USB 3.0 ports, and Gigabit Ethernet.

The Surface Studio will go on sale in the US for $2,999 when it becomes available later this year.
