Nike fined $74,000 for putting Tony Parker jersey on Winston Churchill statue

A French court has ordered Nike to pay the equivalent of $74,000 in damages to a sculptor after the 2011 French National Team "defiled" his statue of Winston Churchill by putting a Tony Parker jersey on it, according to Buzzflip.

The sculptor, Jean Cardot filed a lawsuit against Nike and Ubi Bene saying his work was "defiled" by the jersey being put on the statue without his permission.
