America’s Cup toasts Champagne partner

Moët & Chandon has been named as the official champagne of the 35th America’s Cup.  The partnership reinforces the Maison’s longstanding history of supporting elegant sportsmanship and savoir-faire.

The deal will see the champagne brand become a partner for the three-year cup cycle, which commences with the first Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series event in Portsmouth over the weekend, continuing throughout the rest of this year and into 2016.

Following that the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Qualifiers and Playoffs will take place in Bermuda in 2017, leading to the America’s Cup Match presented by Louis Vuitton, also in Bermuda, in June 2017.

Moët & Chandon’s association with the America’s Cup goes as far back as 1987: baptizing legendary race boats, creating dazzling champagne cascades with elegant crystal champagne flutes and toasting the daring victories of the athletes. Moët & Chandon closely reflects the sailing world’s bold, modern spirit and dedication to the pursuit of victory.

“The America’s Cup is the epitome of elegant achievement and the bold pursuit of victory. It is a perfect reflection of Moët & Chandon’s own pioneering spirit of success,” said Stéphane Baschiera, President & CEO of Moët & Chandon. “We raise a toast to this prestigious event and its exceptional participants. We are proud to accompany them over the next several years in their remarkable Moët moments.”

“The America’s Cup and Moët & Chandon have a long relationship of celebrating success together,” said Harvey Schiller, the Commercial Commissioner of the America’s Cup. “We look forward to more celebrations as we start racing in the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series and build towards our final races in Bermuda in 2017.”
