Arsenal Manager defends players selfies, revealed he's 'not a big fan of social media'

The Manager of England Premier League Club Arsenal, Arsene Wenger has defended his players selfies, saying he feels nothing wrong with the social trend.

Players of the club were recently critised for their frequent presence on social media platforms by former England internationals Jamie Carragher and Paul Scholes.

"I am personally not a big fan of all social media. I think you want to share happiness with your teammates, but this generation have a different way to express it and I respect that -- as long as it is respectful", Wenger said.

"There are limits because the other day I saw (Roma striker Francesco) Totti doing the same thing during a game after scoring a goal, honestly, that is too far."

He added: "We have to live with the fact that today football is very popular, everything is analysed, sometimes it goes overboard, but we have to ourselves stay at the right level and take a distance and put things into the right perspective."

With so many rivals knocked out of the FA Cup on Saturday, Wenger's team looked like a club on a mission to retain the historical trophy after a thrilling 3-2 win over Brighton on Sunday.
