So far, the draws have produced 39 millionaires across the country and another batch of 39 Nigerians have also won the iPad Air while 250 persons have won smartphones and a total of 195,000 have been rewarded with airtime.

In a show of appreciation, the winners commended the Telco’s consistent effort at fulfilling its promise to customers and its unfailing dedication towards empowering and rewarding their patronage.

Congratulating the winners, Chief Commercial Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Maurice Newa explained the objective behind the promo which is to touch and enrich the lives of customers in appreciation of their constant support for the network. He said the promo was a means of celebrating customers who have been loyal to the network and that Airtel will continue to create credible platforms to enrich and empower its customers.

He also advised customers on the need to exercise some caution as some criminal minded individuals may want to take advantage of the promo to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

“ Airtel does not notify winners by SMS and does not request financial or security information such as bank account numbers or ATM pins as precondition for redeeming their prizes. In his words, “We do not need anything from our customers in return for their prizes. We contact them using a special number 08021900000 and only the standard accepted mode of identification is required from winners to claim their prizes”, he explained

Similar to the 2013 edition of the promo which saw Mr. Danjuma Ibrahim Yakubu, a Journalist from Nasarawa State winning the star prize of N10 million, the star prize for this edition of the promo is a brand new 2015 Range Rover which every participating customer stands a chance to win.

To participate and qualify, customers need to recharge their lines or purchase any Airtel data, Blackberry, Android bundle, SMS or voice bundle offers. Each of these activities carry specific number of entries into the raffle draw and the higher the number of entries earned, the higher the chances of winning.

The accumulated entry points for a customer can be carried over every day throughout the duration of the promo so that the chance of winning increases with every passing day. The Promo, which commenced in November will run for 60 day and is open to all prepaid and post-paid customers.

Till the end of the promo, Airtel will continue to reward one winner with one million naira daily and another 100 lucky customers will each win N10, 000 daily. In addition, 50 lucky customers will win smartphones every week and free airtime for 5,000 customers.
