As Search For Missing Girls Continues, UNICEF Helps Nigerian Schoolchildren

The kidnapping of more than 200 schoolgirls in Nigeria is an outrage – for the girls themselves – and for every Nigerian child striving to learn.

In the last three months, attacks like these have caused at least 15,000 children in northern Nigeria to stop attending class.

UNICEF is trying to make sure that every Nigerian child can get an education.

UNICEF-supported programs work to protect Nigerian students from violence, create safe spaces for girl students and fund scholarships for female teachers – a key to keeping girls in school.

In total, UNICEF aims to educate 1 million girls in northern Nigeria.

  1. #BackBackOurGirls is the biggest campaign I have ever experienced on Twitter. However, the most important thing is that God should help save these girl from terrorist sect, Boko Haram
