The Nigerian HealthCare Excellence Award held her maiden edition of Award of Excellence in the HealthCare Sector recently where PathCare was awarded the Private Laboratory Service Provider of the Year.
The awards were given to those who had distinguished themselves by offering quality and excellent products and services and to those who are making tremendous impact on the health of Nigerians.
Present at the event was the Former Lagos State commissioner for Health, Dr. Leke Pitan, the River State Commissioner for Health, Dr Samson Parker, the Ogun State Commissioner for Health Dr. Olaokun Soyinka, the National President, Association of General Private Medicine Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN) among others.
Dr. Wale Alabi, C.E.O, Global Health project and Resources who is the Organiser of the initiative, said that the awards are being given to organisations who have raised the standard of healthcare in Nigeria adding that these awardees deliver quality products and services and have helped improved the quality of health in Nigeria. He revealed that the team took a painstaking process in the nomination exercise stressing that everyone who won an award did so as a result of the confidence people have in them.
For the category of Private Laboratory Service provider of the year, PathCare Nigeria emerged as the award winner. While presenting the award to PathCare, Dr. Leke Pitan commended the PathCare for excellence and quality in the delivery of test results and encouraged PathCare to keep the flag of quality flying .
Dr. Tolulope Adewole, Consultant Pathologist who receiving the award on behalf of PathCare said “We sincerely want to thank our valued clients who despite all, have continued to make PathCare Nigeria as their first choice in laboratory services and to those who nominated us for recognizing excellence in diagnosis.” He dedicated the award to all those whose lives have been saved because they received excellent results for their tests adding that PathCare brought world class standard in diagnostic services to this part of the world and will continue to be the bench mark in Nigeria.
PathCare Laboratories has been in the forefront in adopted environment friendly practices and supporting “going green” advocacy. PathCare currently employs professional cyclists to handle all their dispatch service needs within the Victoria Island area of Lagos State. The company was recently selected as a Lagos State Environment Protection Agency (LASEPA) role model for caring for the environment through the institution of policies that reduce emissions in the environment and increase the employment of youths.
