Lagos acquires 1,084 hectares of land for farming

According to Lagos State Commissioner for Agricultural and Cooperatives, Prince Gbolahan Lawal, the state has acquired 1,084 hectares of land for farming across the nation.

Prince Lawal said the state had renewed its interest in investment in Agriculture with consideration for areas where it has advantages over others which are in rice production, poultry farming and aquaculture to make up its contribution to food security in the state by year 2020.

He revealed that the state had acquired 1,084 hectares of land in Osun State for oil palm processing, Agric-YES and other agricultural purposes while 500 hectares of land was acquired in Eggua, Ogun State for rice production adding that the state had received the titles on these lands, as bought lands by the state.
