86th Oscars Nominations Announced

Nominations for the 86th Academy Awards were yesterday at a news conference at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills by Actor Chris Hemsworth and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs.

The Oscars, produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide. Nominations voting in the Oscars’ 24 categories closed January 8 and final voting begins February 14, with ballots due back February 25 at 5 PM PT.
