Forbes Africa Person of the Year 2012 to hold in Nigeria


On Thursday  29 November, Forbes Africa 2012 will be held in Nigeria. The winner of the Person of the Year honour will be announced at the event which will take place at the Porsche Centre in Lagos.

After an overwhelming response from Forbes Africa readers, the founder and president of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote; Dr James Mwangi, CEO and managing director of Kenya's Equity Bank Limited; Joyce Banda, President of Malawi; Tony Elumelu, founder and chairman of Heirs Holdings and Stephen Saad, co-founder of the Aspen Pharmacare have been chosen as 2012 nominees.

The event celebrates the most influential person of the year on the African continent and highlights the person's immense involvement and contribution to society.

It could be recall that the first edition was held last year and won by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Governor Sanusi Lamido.

ABN Productions is the exclusive event host for CNBC Africa and Forbes Africa as well as the prestigious 'All Africa Business Leaders Awards' (AABLA).

The results will also be announced on CNBC Africa, DSTV 410.
