KFC Opens Outlet in Ogba

In a bid to further strengthen its differential advantage and invest more in the Nigerian economy by providing opportunities and replicating the good experience across the country for the benefits of its consumers, Kentucky Fried Chicken has berth in Ogba, an industrial hub area in Lagos.

Some of the people interviewed expressed happiness that they can now purchase their items with ease. According to Chuks Udeajah, the move help create convenience for him and his friends who always have to move to the Alien Avenue outlet in Ikeja for the weekend leisure. He expressed his delight and hope that the eatery continues to extend its outlets.

KFC at City Mall

Gbenga Famuyiwa also believe the move is a good one but think its going to be a stiff competition between KFC and other eatery in the area. His words: There are lot of eateries already at Ogba and most of them are on these same road (Ijaye Road) so I think it is really going to be a big challenge for KFC too because they other eateries are not bad too.

KFC is one of the biggest restaurants in the world, serving over 12 million people every day. The American food chain says its decision to come into the Nigerian market at this point is timely as it was reached after some research and study of the local environment.

It started operations in Nigeria in December 2009, through a franchise arrangement between RJ Corp of India and Chellarams plc, which gave birth to Devyani International Nigeria. Their first outlet was in City Mall (Onikan).
