MarkHack 5.0 to Unveil Africa’s First AI Platform Built for Advertising Agencies

MarkHack 5.0, Nigeria’s leading marketing, media and technology conference, is set to host the unveiling of Ad-Agency GPT, described as Africa’s first generative artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for marketing and advertising agencies.

The platform will be formally introduced by Tomi Davies and Dr. Victor 'Gbenga Afolabi on June 5, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Developed as an end-to-end intelligent system for agency operations, Ad-Agency GPT is designed to support the entire marketing workflow, from interpreting client briefs and generating culturally relevant copy to campaign planning, strategic scenario modelling and content validation. The platform aims to enable agencies of all sizes to access capabilities typically associated with large international agency networks.

A key feature of the platform is its focus on African market realities. By incorporating insights into consumer behaviour, regional language nuances, FMCG activation models and cultural contexts across the continent, Ad-Agency GPT seeks to generate outputs tailored to local markets. The platform is also designed to help agencies retain institutional knowledge and improve campaign development over time.

This year's MarkHack conference is themed “The Culture Algorithm: AI × Human Experience” and will bring together stakeholders from marketing, technology, policy and the creative industries to examine the growing influence of artificial intelligence on culture, identity and decision-making.

Against this backdrop, the launch of Ad-Agency GPT represents a significant development in the evolution of marketing technology in Africa, signalling a shift towards AI-powered infrastructure for campaign execution and agency management.

Conference attendees will witness live demonstrations of the platform, including campaign ideation, multi-format content creation and culturally adaptive strategy development. The sessions are expected to provide practical insights into how agencies can streamline operations, enhance creative output and deliver more effective campaigns across diverse African markets.

Ad-Agency GPT will initially launch under an open-access model, allowing agencies and marketing professionals to begin using the platform immediately. A Pro version, offering expanded capabilities such as increased output capacity, collaborative workspaces and access to proprietary campaign playbooks developed by GDM Group, is expected to be introduced as adoption grows.

The unveiling of Ad-Agency GPT further reinforces MarkHack’s position as a platform for innovation and industry transformation, while highlighting GDM Group’s role in advancing AI-driven marketing solutions across Africa.
