Promasidor Nigeria has strengthened its corporate social responsibility commitment with the donation of a water tower and borehole system to the palace of the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom in Lagos State, in a move aimed at improving access to clean water within the host community.
The project, delivered under the company’s CSR initiatives, was commissioned on Thursday, 21 May 2026, by the Chief Executive Officer of Promasidor Nigeria, François Gillet, at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Isa Abiodun Faronbi-Shekoni, the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom.
The ceremony was attended by the monarch, his wife, Olori Tawakalitu Abike Faronbi-Shekoni, members of the royal cabinet, and senior executives of Promasidor Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Gillet said sustainable businesses depend on the wellbeing of their host communities, adding that the borehole project reflects Promasidor Nigeria’s commitment to improving lives and supporting long-term development.
He noted that access to clean and safe water is vital to public health, human dignity, and economic progress, adding that the initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6, which promotes clean water and sanitation for all.
“At Promasidor Nigeria, our responsibility extends beyond business operations. We believe in building meaningful and lasting relationships with our host communities through mutual respect, trust, and shared progress. This project is another reflection of that commitment and our enduring partnership with the people of Isolo,” he said.
Gillet also expressed appreciation to the Isolo community for its continued support over the years.
“We sincerely value the warmth and goodwill we have received from the Isolo community and look forward to sustaining this cordial relationship for many years to come,” he added.
In his remarks, Oba Faronbi praised Promasidor Nigeria for what he described as a thoughtful intervention that would significantly improve access to clean water for the palace and surrounding community.
“We appreciate this laudable gesture from Promasidor Nigeria. This donation will go a long way in serving the needs of the palace and the community. We pray for continued growth and success for the company and its wide range of quality products,” the monarch stated.
Promasidor Nigeria, known for its range of affordable food products consumed by millions of households nationwide, said it remains committed not only to nutrition but also to economic development through job creation, investment, and sustained community engagement across Nigeria.
