Twitter is Finally Allowing Longer Tweets

Back in May, Twitter announced they’d be making some changes to the social media platform. Most notably, that users will no longer have to deal with media like photos and gifs counting against the 140 character limit.

From Monday, attachments like photos, videos, GIFs, and polls no longer count against the tweet limit, the company said on Monday.

Links to quoted tweets will also not be counted against the 140 characters that all Twitter users are given for one single tweet. This basically means that you can attach whatever you want and still have the full 140 characters at your disposal.
